For those who are hard to please: I'm a carer for my autistic son (aged 12).
When he's at school, I work on my own personal software project that I hope will be a business one day... in other words, a tech startup yet to start up.
I have been a LRB subscriber for many years and mainly go in for literary fiction (classic, modern and contemporary), though I'm not averse to poetry, plays, or philosophy. I also love opera and classical music, especially Wagner.
In the evenings, I'm currently writing a novel.
I'm hoping to find someone interesting and cultured to talk to about books, music or whatever... and see where it goes from there, if anywhere.

Intelligent, cultured, interesting, warm and funny. Sharing at least one of my interests stated above would be great...Able to tolerate my eccentricities with good humour and not expect me to put up shelves, change a flat tyre or dive into the water to save her from hungry sharks or crocodiles with any degree of success. All in all, the one who can turn my heart to jelly just by thinking of her.
