I try my best to be a decent person. Life isn't always easy, so I do my best to treat people kindly. We're only here for a short while, we may as well try to be nice to each other.
I'm honest, caring, dislike cruelty and have no fondness for infidelity. Love isn't something that should ever be taken for granted.
I'm funny, good company and affectionate. Tactile, but respectful. Secure enough in my masculinity that I don't feel the need to be toxic. I cry at sad movies, get silly around animals, and love musicals.
I have many interests, but music is my main passion. There will always be new things to discover, new genres to learn about and old standards to rediscover. There are fews joys that march introducing someone to a song they eventually love.
I'm pretty quiet around new people, but once I get comfortable, I will come out of my shell.
Going to interesting places is always improved by having someone with you. There are museums, galleries and landscapes I have not yet visited. I now need to find the person to see them with.
And this probably doesn't need saying, but I do not photograph well. But while my inability to fake a smile makes for bad photos, it does indicate how bad I am at anything involving pretense. Yes, I know it looks like a mugshot. I'm adorable in person, I swear.

I'd like to meet someone kind. Someone with a curious nature. And someone who cares about social injustice and dislikes small mindedness and bigotry.
I'm not perfect, so patience may be required. And honesty... honesty is everything.
Someone whose strengths counter my flaws, and vice versa. A yin to my yang, a zig to my zag, a Laurel to my Hardy.
I'm looking for the reason to stop looking.
I have no interest in messing anyone about or wasting their time. But I'm willing to invest time and effort to make something that will last.
I tried to find a way to emphasise that I'm not here for some short term shenanigans, but the similies all ended up sounding filthy. So just know, I'm not looking for just a hook up.
I know politics can be devisive, and expressing strong political views may put some people off. So I'll just reiterate how important empathy and tolerance are and that should cover it.
Somewhere in the future there is a happily ever after with two people who are at peace with the world, safe in each others arms, wanting for nothing. Sounds possible. Sounds amazing. And as with any journey, it just requires a first step.
