About him
Thanks for looking at my profile. I'm told that I'm loyal, honest and trustworthy with a good sense of humour, and that I'm a good listener and an optimistic person.
I'm retired now and (apart from looking after the house and garden) I keep busy as a volunteer at the local museum, which has its own brewery and tap room. There's also plenty of walks around the village where I can get some exercise.
Like most of us, I enjoy meals out, with good company; I prefer the company of mixed or female groups to all males (I wouldn't describe myself as a macho alpha male!!).
It's been two years now since I was widowed, and I'm wondering whether there is a final shot at some kind of emotional attachment with somebody nice. I have lots of friends in the village where I live....just nobody to share a special attachment with.

The ideal would to meet somebody that I could always be there for, and that would be there for me. I'd want to find them physically attractive. Down to earth, rather than...er...."away with the fairies"; and somebody optimistic that shared my values and my sense of humour.
As I'm pretty outgoing, I don't think it would work with somebody who would want to spend every night indoors with their knitting/jigsaws/TV soap operas!! I think that (almost) every invite out is a good one.
