About her
As I morph into semi-working and a lot of interests and voluntary involvement in music I'm struck by how much better life would be if there was someone with whom I could share it all. I have a big dose of acerbic humour and usually see the ridiculous side of things, however difficult they may be. I would not click with anyone who did not laugh at themselves, who does not love life and enjoy the wonders of classical music, art and family life. I have two daughters to whom I am very close, two lovely sons in law and a wonderful little grandson. I put an extremely high value on kindness; anyone mean, petty or untruthful is out. I value family and friends beyond all else and would respect and support that with any partner. I love entertaining and seeing friends, and I care deeply about our society and the impact we make on it, but sometimes I simply delight in zoning out, reading, dreaming and wondering where I would like to go next. About her ideal match
I'd love to meet someone who has a passion for something; preferably his work, his interests, his family. He will have an enquiring mind and be deeply interested in society, other people, global situations, even if these are not his immediate concern. I can't bear apathy or selfishness, and I have big red flags for liars and anyone mean. I'd say I value kindness and humour as the non-negotiable traits. I love life and want to have fun, so I'd like to meet someone who didn't take himself or life too seriously, always sees the humour in a situation and is essentially an optimist. Okay, a semi-optimist. Woody Allen is funny too. If I could draw him, he'd be tall and big, but honestly, I don't much care what he looks like as long as he's kind, funny and has a deep-rooted passion for life. Oh, and if he doesn't like classical music that might be awkward because that's big for me, but I'm open to suggestions.
