I enjoy walking my dog in the peaceful Lake District where I live but I also like an occasional visit to a big city where I can visit galleries and shops. I volunteer in our community shop, I'm a Trustee for a charity and get involved in local events. I enjoy socialising with friends, browsing antique and country fairs but I am equally happy curled up with a good book and a glass of wine. I'm lucky enough to have travelled to some wonderful places (Galapagos Islands, Amazon Jungle, Great Bear Rainforest in Canada and also to Japan). Italy (particularly Venice) and France are favourite places. I used to ski a lot, but it's been a while!
