Why should you get to know me - well that’s a very good question !!
I have been divorced for over 20 years now and have most of the things I need in life except the most important ingredient. And life is simply not the same without that someone special to share it with.
I'm generally a quiet, reserved person and much prefer the company of a good companion than large social gatherings.
Enjoy all the usual things - travelling, good restaurants, a nice glass of wine, cooking, a decent movie, the occasional round of golf in a sunny spot etc. I’m an avid hiker having previously walked most of the South West Coast Path and now regularly head off to places like the Peak District to lose myself in the countryside. I also love live music and try to get to as many gigs as I can - but I’m also open to being challenged to do new things and experience something different.
Now happily retired, I have more time to try new challenges - just need that certain someone to help !

It would be nice to meet someone who is reasonably self sufficient but who also has the time and inclination to be spontaneous and develop a relationship.
I don't take myself too seriously and would expect my partner to be capable of laughing at themself as well as me.
I’m definitely looking for someone who enjoys long walks and enjoys exploring both the UK and further afield.
Everyone talks about chemistry - but you have to start with liking someone enough to want to go on a second date. After that who knows what it should be called !
