About her
A friend was having a conversation about what dogs the people she knew would be. Apparently I'm a collie- hard working, loyal and intelligent. I'm flattered.
I have a grown up daughter 2 Irish (red) Setters , and some chickens. After a lifetime in Accountancy I now work part time as a Countryside Ranger. I'm very fit and healthy with medium length brown hair and maybe a few extra pounds!. I have completed a couple of 26 mile mighty hikes for Macmillan, and I'm contemplating doing another around the Cotswolds.
I love ginger, chocolate, coffee, ice cream and old Roses.
I enjoy gardening, walking, puzzles, and reading.
I love walking, especially the SW Coastal path, and like to get out most days, usually 2- 6 miles nothing too strenuous. But I would like to complete the path one day.
I like a variety of music ranging from Matt Monroe and Barry Manilow to Tom Waits, with a bit of light weight classical music thrown in. Also going to the theatre (large or small), and cinema.
I'm young at heart but not a glamour queen, (although I can brush up quite well) more of a get stuck in girl. If a job needs doing I'm likely to help, or I equally I could go in the Kitchen & bake a cake & bring out Tea, & say "I wouldn't have done it like that" 🤣 I'm independent and like my own space. .
I feel life will soon be entering a stage of new beginnings, so lets see where this path takes me. Some wise person said "you have to jump for the Angels to catch you". So calling all Angels "I'm teetering"
About her ideal match
Must have a sense of humour, and not take themselves too seriously, or be too needy, no bigots please. I would prefer someone who isn't a couch potato, as I have quite a lot of energy. I would like someone solvent, not a heavy drinker. I enjoy a glass of an evening, but never drink and drive.
What would make your relationship work ? Gosh if I knew that I wouldn't be Divorced! Patience, humour, a zest for life? A Family man. Honesty.
Someone who likes gardening, crosswords, sudoku, cards or walking, would be nice. I think I'd prefer a craftsman to an Intellectual, someone who can create something beautiful. I'm a bit of a wild gardener, not regimented rows of Salvias and tulips,(blocks maybe with the odd weed thrown in).
I might like to go outside my comfort zone a bit (no bungee jumping), as I have said I'm a hardy perennial, I enjoy the outdoors and camping.
I'm looking for someone kind, funny and honest with a land rover!
